Good as Gold by Sarina Bowen

A swoony, heart-wrenching small-town romance from USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller Sarina Bowen!
Leila:
What I meant to do: quietly divorce my lout of a husband and then have a child all on my own.
What happens instead: my crush comes back to town when I’m at my most vulnerable. After too many cocktails, I ask him to be my baby’s father.
In my defense, it’s been a rough couple of months. Seeing Matteo Rossi again after fourteen years has done a number on my emotions. And my libido.
In the morning, I’m hoping he’s forgotten the whole thing. But no such luck. In fact, Matteo has a few clarifying questions. And a few naughty ideas, too…
Matteo:
What I meant to do: visit Vermont for my brother’s wedding. Make amends to my family, and mourn the loss of a friend.
What happens instead: a hot affair with the one who got away. But it can’t last. My life is two thousand miles away, and Leila deserves everything. She’s as good as gold.
Good as Gold will be released at all retailers on May 29th. On June 1st, Good as Gold will move into Kindle Unlimited and the eBook will be available exclusively on Amazon.

REVIEW
Welcome back to True North. Another lovely small town second chance romance. Leila and Matteo were childhood friends (and the third guy). They were the three musketeers until Matteo found out Leila was dating his best friend, he left town and never looked back. Fourteen years later, Matteo came home for his brother’s wedding and coincidentally Leila is newly divorced. Everyone seems to think the timing is quite convenient but only these two don’t see it. Leila is single and ready to have a child on her own so after a few cocktails she asked Matteo to volunteer his ahem… sp*rm and he is more than happy to obliged :)) Matteo was supposed to come back in town for a quick wedding, grief the loss of his partner/friend, and make amends with his family. It was not in the plan to have an affair with his childhood crush. All good things must come to an end … what happens when everyone has to get back to their own lives? Matteo business and home are in Aspen. Will he fight for the one that got away this time? They both deserves long overdue happiness. I really like Matteo and Leila together. There isn’t much pretense with them. As soon as they see each other again they seem to pick up where they left off – endearing friendship and of course crushing on each other. There is a lot of feels packed in this book – grief and guilt given the history, angst and longing. A lot of hilarious moments and steamy romance. Overall, such a feel good, heartfelt love story! Seriously, can’t get enough of small-town Vermont love stories.
