The night they met Jennsyn moseyed over to Toren’s Fourth of July party. It was instant chemistry – the two hung out, one thing leads to another, they ended up spending the night together without neither one finding out who the others really are. It was a shock for both when Toren and Jennsyn ran into each other at school several weeks later. Coaches and students relationship are forbidden. Jennsyn is newly transferred from Stanford – she came with a secret and a scholarship on the line. Toren has a job to protect and what with a recent scandal at the athletic department, he can’t be the next one to get fired. The problem is neither one can stay away because of the intense chemistry and undeniable attraction they have for each other. I like Toren – he obv. hot , caring, a little foolishly in love. Jennsyn has a little chip on her shoulder with the way her family and friends did her wrong. She was a little closed off to everyone. She lives and breathes volleyball. Toren eventually was able to breakdown her wall. I thought the parents and former teammate issues were extra noise. Also I was expecting a different secret than what was revealed at the end. Overall though I enjoy the forbidden aspect, heartwarming, funny, spicy small-town romance. It was nice to hear about Ford again (absolutely loved him in Coach). I love that Toren grew up in this small town and he takes care of his family. The chemistry was great, lot of push and pull, slow burn. I can’t wait for Rush’s story, a star QB in Rally.
