We met Rush and Faye in the previous book of Treasure State Wildcats and I was instantly intrigue by their tremulous relationship.  I expected angsts galore coming and I wasn’t wrong.  This story turned out to be more emotional than in expected.  Rush and Faye met the day Faye was stranded on the side of the road.  A handsome, “non-serial killer vibe” J, charming guy came to the rescue.  They spent one passionate night together and got a little extra gift out of it.  Faye ended up in a bad situation with no place to go, pregnant, broke and trying to finish school.  Rush is a popular quarterback extraordinaire who is getting ready to be drafted to play pro-ball.  He is not ready for any serious relationship let alone a baby.  Oh how I love a sweet and kind guy who instantly stepped up to the plate.  Extra point for being protective and went alpha on the ex.  Faye is a bit of a damsel in distress but she does work hard and trying to be independent.  Sometimes a girl just needs someone to lean on for a while.  Faye has a few hurdles to get through in life but Rush is always there to lend a hand.  He is just awesome! I like their relationship development – how they navigate pregnancy, school, work, life commitment all awhile slowly building their relationship from friends to lovers.  Make sense to me because they really did not know each other to begin with.  Over all heartwarming love story! Can’t wait for more.
