Well this was another heartfelt small town love story. Ivy and Sawyer known each other for quite a long time as Ivy frequent every summer in Skagway with her aunt and uncle. One particular summer they became lovers who spent every night under the stars … might have fall in love … that is until Ivy left at the end of that summer, cut off Sawyer completely, and never look back. She went on to finished college and engaged to a high-profile guy with a prominent family. Soon enough Ivy found herself back at Skagway taking care of her sick aunt. Sawyer was surprised. This is Sawyer chance to get some answers and possible closure. Ivy was planning on avoiding Sawyer at all costs, but they found themselves as leading roles at a local theater production. Ahhh, the close proximity and sexual tension was off the chart. Sawyer has always been in love with Ivy, but Ivy is lying to herself if she thinks her feelings for Sawyer was platonic/friends with benefits. Ivy had some hurdles to get through and Sawyer was there every step of the way. I love that Sawyer is so sweet, kind and always supportive of Ivy despite his family’s strong opinions. Totally swoony hero! Really love this book with small town feels, heartwarming family bonds, and sweet romance.
