I just love the single parent trope (especially single dad) something so endearing about a little girl and her daddy. Ainsley has been crushing on Lachlan since forever. Everything changed after one kiss and they never talked again. Four years later, Ainsley who is a journalist, was assigned to write a piece on Lachlan, a former quarterback extraordinaire turned firefighter. Ainsley has no choice but to move back to her hometown temporarily and face Lachlan again. Lachlan is grumpy and wants nothing to do with being interview but Ainsley was persistent. It should be easy right? A few interviews and they can move on with their lives. Except, these two has too much history and the longer she stays in his small town the more complicated their relationship becomes. Will Ainsley stays or would Lachlan willing to follow? I love the push and pull tension between these two. I adore Lachlan’s little girl Rose. The banters was really funny LOL moments with all the characters. The chemistry and the spicy are plentiful. The book was overall an enjoyable read – perfect mix of humor and romance. LOVE it!
