“… She is this piece of Heaven in this land full of Hell.”
What can I say? Another amazing book Ms. K. Bromberg. This book is intense though and full of actions. It will keep you on the edge of you seat or your bed
The synopsis is Tanner – a foreign war correspondent who loves the adrenaline rush of living on the edge reporting in the war zone. After loosing his best friend (a photojournalist), the only way he can dealt with the loss is to get right back into where the actions are. Some might says he is putting himself at risk out of guilt. Tanner met Beaux – the replacement or so he thought … wink … wink… Beaux is mysterious and she also love to take risk maybe borderline reckless. When Tanner begins to realized that too many things do not add up with Beaux and her past begins to surfaced Tanner is determined to find out the truth.
This story has so many twists and turns that it will make your head spins. I was guessing the whole time. My heart was working overtime because I was so nervous to find out what the heck will happen next. The scene where Beaux was wandering at night taking picture I thought Oh god! Is she going to get kidnap and torture and the hero will jump in to rescue her?
Right about 69% in to the book I read the part where Tanner was professing his love for Beaux someone said: “I believe you just told my wife you love her” – well shit!!! I was having a damn heart attack all awhile silently praying for this to not be a love triangle.
I think I post this quote on FB and the devil K. Bromberg had the audacity to write: “have fun!” – fun my butt, I think my damn heart skipped a beat…
So, is it a love triangle? Is Beaux really who she says she is??? You have to read and find out yourself
“I fought my way to you, Beaux, and now you’d better fight as hard as you can to get back to me because damn it, I love you. Did you hear me? I love you.”
This book is definitely captivating, hot, sexy, intense with actions but at the same time oh so sweet and lovely. He calls her Rookie and she call him Pulitzer – So damn cute!
I like the author’s writing style because somehow I feel like I am right there in the story with them. It was an amazing ride
The only thing is after I finished this book I was kind of imagining the book cover to be different … maybe some badass sexy heroine and hero but I LOVE LOVE LOVE what is inside so that’s all that matters 🙂
“You promised you’d always come back to me”
This is a standalone, Tanner point of view – a fan of male POV.
I am a fan of all K’s books especially the Driven series. I highly recommended all her books
