Marrying Mr. English by Katy Regnery ~ 4.5 Stars
The Blueberry Lane Series Book 11
You’ve all met the children and Eleanora and Tom English… but how exactly did down-on-her-luck waitress, Eleanora Watters, meet trust fund hottie, Tom English?
You won’t want to miss this Christmas novel in two parts (each a complete novella – the first is a “Happily for now” ending and the second is a “Happily ever after” ending) that tells the story of how Eleanora met Tom, while he was visiting Vail in the 1980s.
“The most perfect place in the world… is anywhere with you.”
So, where have I been? Apparently, I did not know this is a series of book. I have read other books of Katy though. I am glad that I am reading Marrying Mr. English first because I can get a history of Eleanora and Tom, how they met and fall in love before reading all about their children.
I really love these two characters. Eleanora is beautiful, sweet, hard working, and loyal. Tom is handsome, smart, and has a good heart. The two met and got hitch on a very peculiar circumstance. Despite Tom’s family rejection, he stood by Ellie. That just made me SWOON over him so much. They are both such lovable characters. Katy captured the love, passion, and chemistry between the two characters perfectly. Even though they were fast friends and lovers, it did not feel rush – it felt believable. You get the feel that they are soul mates.
“A good woman makes a man honest makes him work harder, makes him true.”
The story is very romantic, sweet and inspiring. I get the feel that their love is pure, tender and it is very inspiring – a nice break from erotica I sometimes read LOL J. There are some funny and cute moments too e.g. Strips reading instead of strips poker LOL J The writing is gorgeous and flawless. Highly recommended.
“Do you know what you are, Tom English?
“A dream come true?”
“Exactly.”
“Then I guess, that makes you my miracle.”
Simply beautiful!
I was given ARC in exchange for an honest review.
