#Kissing is a sexy, rock star romance for new adults, college, and contemporary romance readers who enjoy love stories with a HEA.

Okay so what is this about?
Josie comes from an affluent family in Rhode Island. She is a nice girl, smart, with a bright future ahead. Unfortunately, life happens and she cannot deal with the pressure. So she leaves town and joins the British rock band Halos. Niko is a lead singer/ guitarist and Josie’s new boyfriend. She is trekking around on a tour bus with them enjoying freedom for the most part. But being a rock star girlfriend isn’t easy. This life style comes with constant partying, drinking, drugs, sex, groupies, infidelity, and a load of bullshit. She is unsatisfied physically and mentally. So she ends up coming home in search of a fresh start.
Things haven’t changed much at home either though – the constant nagging, criticism and expectations from her mother are overwhelming. The only thing that seems right is JQ – her high school crush and the person who’s heart she broke before she left. Will Josie and JQ rekindle and mend their past? Will Josie ever find her O and a HEA?

So the first 25% of the book was about Josie’s time on the road including a whole lot of partying and just rock and roll. I was a little lost as to what the storyline was about. Then when Josie came home I started to see more clearly her struggles to find the right path in life. Josie is smart and talented but in my opinion made some very bad choices, especially putting up with the way Niko treats her. Niko is a sexy, cocky British rock star and unfortunately I don’t think he is not a hero or main character in my eyes. JQ is the hero! JQ is sweet and caring. The way he took care of Josie and protected her is very swoony. Even though he was hurt he still deeply cares for Josie. So, I am happy to report that they were able to overcome the heartache, forgive each other and embrace happiness.

Over all, #kissing is an enjoyable read for me – a little bit of everything: rock star, music, friendship… but mainly this book is about a young woman who lost herself, struggles, learns life lessons the hard way, and ultimately finds her true self again. So if you are looking for a nice quick steady read, low drama, high sexy love story and some rock and roll – this is the book for you
