*** HOLY SMOKE! Geez, I can finally breathe now that the book is over!!! I am a complete mess and need a few drinks now. Last Kiss is the continuation of First Touch so you have to read them in order.

Just a recap – Emily and Amber are friends who both come from shitty families. Emily and Amber live life in the fast lane, seducing rich men and using them for money, materials, a roof over their head, and sex. Eventually emotions and jealousy get in the way so they decide to go on with their separate lives and eventually lose touch. Until one day Emily finds out that Amber is missing and fears she is dead. Emily is determined to track down her friend and the search leads Emily to Reeve, a hotelier known for his shady dealings, bad boy reputation and possible involvement with the Mafia. Emily gets tangled up in the love web of Reeve. Just when Emily thinks she could maybe fall in love and live a normal life – Amber shows up… well… more like her comatose body is deposited at Reeve’s compound.

Last Kiss picks up from there. Reeve and Emily are determined to find out who did this to Amber and seek revenge. This journey reveals secrets, betrayal, love, friendship and survival. Can Emily and Amber go back to sharing (their old life) or is love / jealousy proving to be too much to handle. How will these two friends move on knowing they both fell for the same man.

Last Kiss is everything I expected and more after reading the first book. Reeve is still alpha, dark, and gritty. Reeve and Emily’s relationship is still twisted and intense but I do see the softer side of Reeve. He is more caring and gentler, especially when it comes to taking care of the ones he loves. Don’t get me wrong though – the sex is still very much dominant, sexy, and erotic. Emily seems to change a bit in this book… when it comes to pleasing Reeve she is still a good little submissive girl but at times she comes out kicking and screaming. She tests Reeve’s patience every chance she gets. She wants to be independent and free but she is in too deep with Reeve. On the other hand, Amber is just more helpless and scared – rightfully so considering the circumstances. She also has some regrets of what she has done in the past and she is determined to win Reeve back. The plot in this book continue with high level of suspense full of twists and turns. It kept you guessing the whole time… you think you know what happened or who did what but you really don’t. The ending? OMG, I have no words… I am crushed, wrecked, finished!!!
Another mind-blowing twist! I am not sure if I should be sad or happy. Maybe both. What a bumpy emotional ride.
I recommend you dive in and devoure this baby with Xanax in hand. It’s long, gritty, intense, keep you on the edge of your seat kind of book. MUST READ!

A GAME OF CAT AND MOUSE FILLED WITH DARK DESIRES AND DANGEROUS SECRETS…

Emily Wayborn has made a decision.

She might not fully trust handsome and deadly Reeve Sallis, but he is the one person that gives her what she needs. With Reeve she can finally be herself. Submitting to him is the only thing keeping her grounded as the rest of her life falls apart. But the hotelier is a master at keeping secrets and as she continues her quest for answers someone is making sure she doesn’t find them.

Time is running out and she is questioning everything she thought she knew about friendship and love. She must now make an impossible choice that will determine if she will survive with her heart…or at all.
