Anti-Stepbrother ~ 4.5 Stars
Standalone friends-to-lovers
College Romance
Dual POV

This is the first time I read one of Tijan’s books and it was AMAZING. Anti-Stepbrother is a college romance – one of my favorite genres. The story surrounds Caden and his fraternity brothers and Summer and her dorm mates. There are plenty of fights, drama, boyfriend/girlfriend issues and even cattiness among the female classmates. So if you love young adult romance this is the perfect book for you – an enjoyable, fun read – it brought back some memories of my college years … from a long time ago 🙂

Summer has been lusting over her stepbrother Kevin forever but Kevin doesn’t seem to have a clue – or does he? Kevin is popular, sexy, and changes girlfriends like he changes clothes. Summer is beautiful, kind, caring and a bit naïve. After Kevin leaves for college, Summer soon follows him there hoping to finally get his attention and perhaps fall in love and live happily ever after. But her plan was rudely interrupted by Caden whom she nicknamed the asshole. Caden! GOSH Caden is gorgeous inside and out … move over ladies because I am claiming him. Caden is handsome, intense, sexy, and much like Summer he is sweet, kind, loyal, and caring. Caden sees something special in Summer despite her disdain for him. He knows Summer deserves better but can he be the one that finally changes her heart?

The author did a great job with the characters’ development – they were enemies turned friends and eventually lovers. I like that their relationship starts out innocent and eventually grows into something beautiful. The storyline as I mentioned before surrounds college life, friendships, lovers and even families. The story starts out slow the first few chapters but rest assured there are never any dull moments. Something is always going on so I feel like the book paces nicely from beginning to end.

If you are a fan of college romance/young adult this is the book for you – just the right amount of angst, drama, heartache, romance and the most important part is CADEN, the swoony hero. I one-clicked this sucker just for him alone 🙂
