JUST AMAZING!!!  What a perfect ending to this duet.  I love Gia and Rush story.  Rebel Heir ended with a huge jaw dropping cliffhanger I was dying for book 2.  Gia found out she is pregnant but she has no way of contacting the baby daddy.  At the end of book 1, Gia finally came face to face with said daddy, and it’s not exactly good news for neither Gia and her budding love affair with Rush.  I like that this second book focus solely on Rush and Gia, how their romantic relationship develops given the untoward new event.  Everything was definitely a roller coaster of ups and downs.  Rush struggles with accept Gia and the potential connection that he might have with the baby daddy in the future.

I adore Rush.  He is a tough alpha, flawed but has a huge heart.  Rush is sweet, loyal, and caring.  Even though Rush is conflicted with accepting Gia and her unborn baby, he is still super protective and always making sure Gia is well taking care of.  Totally swoon-worthy hero!!!

I also like Gia – she is a strong heroine.  Gia moved to the Hamptons to work in the summer and hoping to find her writing muse.  It was not part of the plan to meet Rush and fall in love let alone getting pregnant.  But Gia is determined to hang in, work hard and provide for her baby knowing she might be on her own.

I enjoy the high dose of slow burn, the angst, steamy romance, the drama in this book.  Gia and Rush’s relationship is frustrating at times but overall this is a heartwarming, emotional, sexy, thrilling and entertaining read.  This duet is as expected – well written!!!  Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland is quite a fantastic pair!!!!

How to screw up a great summer in the Hamptons:

Fall for the one guy with a dark leather jacket, scruff on his face, and intense eyes that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the tony looking crowd.  A guy you can’t have when you’ll be leaving at the end of the season.

I should add—especially when the guy is your sexy, tattooed God of a boss.
