OKAY HOLY UNIQUE PLOT HERE! Layla Hutton is a young beautiful attorney in New York. She made a huge mistake violating attorney/client privilege so she was sent to complete 200 hours’ community service at a minimum-security prison. That is where she met Grayson Westbrook, an inmate who was serving 3 years for insider trading. The man was absolutely gorgeous but what I love most about Grayson is his honesty and no bullsh*t attitude. Except, Grayson omitted a little detail of his past so when Layla found out a certain someone special was on Grayson’s visitor list, she walked out and never looked back. Layla was hurt by his betrayal and vowed to move on with her life. Two years pass and Layla is about to pitch the most important present to a new VIP investor. If this goes well, this will look super good on her resume and rebuild her reputation with the firm. The only problem is this VIP person who showed up was none other than Grayson … the man is so much different now – richer, wiser and definitely hotter. Grayson made it clear that Layla will not only be his attorney but HIS to keep. It isn’t going to be easy to win Layla back but Grayson persists. Just when Layla’s wall starts to come down… Grayson’s past came crashing down. Will Layla be able to trust Grayson, except Grayson for who he is … baggage and all?

Oh man! The author did such an amazing job with these two characters. Can’t judge the book by its cover you know…Grayson is sexy, confident, loyal, and selfless. I really like Layla. She is smart, beautiful, and has a huge heart. The sexual chemistry is intense, angsty, and off the chart HOT. They can’t quit each other and you can really feel the deep desire they have for each other. It’s beyond physical though – their relationship was unconventional and did not start out intimate (which is different and what I really like about them). They share stories and spent time getting to know each other for a year, and I think that is a big reason they can rebuild the trust and weather any obstacles that come … and boy, they do have many ups and downs and complicated issues. I love this author – she is one of my go-to author for a dose of steamy sexy romance. You really can’t go wrong with Vi Keeland’s books – this one is steamy, angsty, heart-warming. Unconventional and unique plot, witty banters, well-written, fantastic read!
