Blurb:

The first time I met Ian Kemp in the sparkling blue waters of St. Thomas, I was six years old and we shared a summer beneath the stars.
The second time I met Ian Kemp, he was a shell of the boy I once knew. Turbulent and infuriating, he refused my friendship at every turn. Like me, he was a casualty of life’s cruelty, but we were planets apart.
We’d both sought refuge on the island, hoping to find our anchor. Instead, we found each other and managed to reclaim our stars…until we both got swept away.
REVIEW:
Oh, my heart!!! I finished this epic love story in record time and I am a sobbing mess. I don’t know how Kate Stewart does it. Every story tops the one from the past. This one has an amazingly unique plot/ story. If you want to know the definition of unconditional love, Koti and Ian ARE IT! This is a beautiful story about heartbreak, healing, forgiveness, finding oneself, and second chances at love. “Not all stories come with happy endings…” Koti and Ian’s journey was not without turbulence and heartbreak but it’s so worth it at the end … love triumphs!!!
I loved it and I know fans of Kate Stewart will fall hard for this couple.

The characters Koti and Ian are flawed, real and relatable. Koti came to St. Thomas looking for a break from her old life and a fresh start. Ian received some devastating news back home. He is angry and desperate to escape reality for a while. Ian became Koti’s newest neighbor and he is about to rock Koti’s well-crafted peaceful world.

I really like Koti’s personality. She seems down to earth, funny, witty and gorgeous but oblivious to this fact. She is sweet and caring – this becomes a HUGE problem when her new brooding neighbor does not welcome any company LOL (some really funny scenes you don’t want to miss)
I like that Koti is brave for uprooting and leaving a successful career back home to search for peace, and a new beginning. It’s not easy to let go of what’s comfortable, not knowing if you can find happiness elsewhere. I like that Koti is driven, dedicated and hardworking even with the small job she has on the island. Koti is just a girl next door, someone you would have been friends with … I adore the friendship Koti and Aletha have. They bicker like an old married couple but obviously care a great deal for each other.

Ian is a tortured hero – you know how I am sucker for them. I was so devastated for Ian and what he sacrificed for what seems to be a huge LIE. The only thing he gained is a beautiful daughter who loves him so much and I was happy for that. I love Ian’s honesty in everything he does. He wears his heart on his sleeve. Ian did not hold back when he gave his ex-wife a piece of his mind. I love the way his smile lights up when he talks to his daughter. He is brutally honest with Koti about his heart and his feelings, knowing they might both hurt when they have to go back to their own lives. Behind all the moody, standoffish, sexy alpha, Ian is a big teddy bear though – the way he takes care if Koti when she was not well totally melted my heart. I was so furious of what happened to Koti’s life – everything was disarrayed and he was blind sighted. Ian did not deserve that – honestly, I just want to throat-punch that someone!!!

I like the relationship development – it’s slow from enemy to friend to lovers. Ian was an ass at first but Koti was persistent and would not let Ian hide forever. The friends / companion part was super cute – I love this part – easy, fun, flirty. Of course, the love / romance part is super steamy, packed with incredible chemistry and passionate sex time. I think the characters are relatable and their relationship is realistic – given they both have been through a lot the past year they are not capable of jumping into a serious relationship right away. Also, I love the interactions between Koti and Ian – Koti is a spitfire and Ian is stubborn = awesome witty banters.

I adore Aletha – she is kind, funny and a free spirit. Seems that she has to kiss of lot of frogs to find her prince and I sure hope Alethra will have her own story. I am dying to know who her prince charming will be.

The writing is phenomenal – very poetic and fluid. The gorgeous island / beach setting is an absolute gem as well!!! I can imagine being there with them

Someone’s Else ocean is a heart-warming, sexy, fun, romantic – a must read this year!!!
