One night Christos rescues her from being attacked and took her under his wings. The grown-up version of Dahlia is fierce, a bit jaded, and not easily manipulated. This girl can throw a punch too. Zack is a jock who is bored of girls falling to their feet for him. Zack is skilled with the hockey stick, popular, gorgeous, self-confident but deep down he has his own insecurities and struggles. Zack is a good guy at heart. The first-time Zack met Dahlia he was intrigued by her boldness, and he is determined to win Dahlia over. It will not be easy though. Dahlia is intending to put him in his place with a few take downs if you will, pun intended! I really enjoy Dahlia and Zack’s relationship development – flirty, agnsty, turned fun, sweet and sexy. I appreciate that the characters are flawed and imperfect. They need to learn to trust each other and fall in love without fear.
Debut novel or not. This book was outstanding – Emotional, heartfelt with developed characters, unique storylines and beautifully written. It’s about courage to live despite adversary. It’s about second chances and it gave me hope that there are good people out there. It’s about overcoming fear and taking a chance at love. I have no complaints and let me say I see BIG things coming for this sweet lady! Congratulations! Can’t wait for more to come.
