Age gap is a difficult trope – you either like it or you don’t. If you are looking for entertainment and nothing else then this is for you. Violet had a major crush on her new neighbor 34 years old father/high school football coach. The problem is said neighbor doesn’t even know she existed until 2 years later on Violet 18 birthdate she kissed him. All hell broke lose after that. He moved away but Violet is determined to track him down. She wants to apologize but she also wants more than that. Does he want the same thing? This is a forbidden / taboo romance. I enjoy the angst, the desire and passion, the steamy sizzling romance between them. I did not connect with Violet that much because I thought her dialogues are too childlike. I don’t mind the age gap at all. It’s hot in a way but I was hoping the heroine is more mature. Violet is very sweet, shy and a bit quirky. Graham is broody, sexy, has a good heart and pretty amazing. Over all, a little slow for me however unique and beautifully written.
