WOW, you guys! These two authors are amazing in their own rights but together they are a dynamite pair. This book is Aly and M. Mabie’s first collaboration, but you would not have known – the writing is eloquent and fluid from beginning until the end. The story itself is absolutely adorable. Shane is a 33 years old divorcee who has been hurt by his cheating ex-wife. He is living a secluded life and working for his family business. Maggie could not be more opposite. Maggie is young, smart, witty and carefree. Maggie moved across the country looking for a fresh start and a dream job. First night Maggie met Shane at the bar. They had an incredible time together and turned out he is her next-door neighbor. What she did not expect was that Shane is also her new colleague and biggest competition. Never a good idea to mix business and pleasure, right? Yikes 😊
I love that their relationship is easygoing, fun and honest. Amazing chemistry from the start and full blown passionate and steamy by the end. I also enjoy the hilarious and flirty banters especially when Shane is making fun of his weight in the past and Maggie poking about Shane being an old man 😊 They are just quirky and endearing you can’t help but fall in love with both. Overall, When the Walls Come Down was a heartfelt story about of love, friendship, and family. Lighthearted and entertaining – just what I needed for a lazy weekend 😊 Rumor has it, they have another book coming and I can not wait! Nicely done ladies!!!
