RELEASE BLITZ: Flirting with 40 by K. Bromberg

Blakely Foxx is about to turn the big 4-0 and Slade Henderson thinks she’s hotter because of it.

Flirting with 40 by K. Bromberg is now live!

An all new flirty, lighthearted, standalone romance by New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg guaranteed to make you swoon. Blakely Foxx is having one of those years. Her divorce may have been finalized a few months ago, but her ex is already engaged to someone half her age. Her younger boss is determined to sabotage her chance at getting the promotion she rightly deserves. And to make matters worse, she’s closing in on the big 4-0. There isn’t enough wine or ice cream in the world to convince her things will turn around. When Blakely meets Slade Henderson, she’s left wondering why an early-thirties, hotter than hell, cardiothoracic surgeon would take an interest in her. She’s been warned that he’ll break her heart, but she’s willing to take the chance. Not only is he helping her get that promotion, but in the process, he’s encouraging her to find the parts of herself she’s lost over the past few years. Slade shows her that good guys really do exist, but who knew the hardest part about turning forty would be realizing the man you thought was a rebound, is actually your happily ever after?

This was such a lighthearted, sweet, flirty, sexy romance. The age gap is less than 10 years and to be quite honest I don’t really notice it unless Blakely points it out. Blakely is approaching forty and divorced. She is throwing herself into work and she is determined to land a big promotion. The competition is vicious and her boss is not so friendly. One day after work, Blakely was having a peaceful drink at a bar but she was rudely interrupted by a hot cardiothoracic surgeon. She gave him some tongue lashing but that did not scare Slade away. Slade is on a little sabbatical from work and Blakely is dreading going to a retreat with her co-worker alone. Slade was persistent and after a few discussion, Slade joined Blakely at her retreat and the rest is history. Gotta love the hero – Slade is not only smart, handsome, successful, he is also charming and confident about what he wants (who he wants) and is not afraid to go after it. Blakely is obviously having a hard time with the age difference. On top of that she has been warned that Slade will break her heart. So, I totally understand her internal conflict. Slade is so caring and always make Blakely feel beautiful and comfortable in her own skin. He encouraged her to find the parts of herself she lost over the not so happily marriage. With a little bit of trouble with Slade’s professional life, they kind of find comfort in each other. I like that they have an playful, low drama, low angst, flirty relationship going on. It’s refreshing and page turner. Highly recommend this fun and feel good romance.
