If you read The Paper Swan you have already met the main character Rafael.  I really loved the paper swan and I am so glad the author came back to give Rafael and Vee a story of their own.  The premise of this book got me intrigued from the start.  Told in past and present.  It was a perfect mixture of romance and a lot of mystery / suspense all wrap up in one flawless written book.  I quite like Vee – she is smart, fierce, and determined to the point she could put herself at risks.  Rafael has been through a ringer and seen too much heartbreak but that hasn’t harden him.  Rafael is a devoted man, caring and protective.  Expect a little more romance in the past chapters.  The present journey for these two has more twists, turns, secrets which kept you on edge and begging for more.  Over all, this story is fascinating, unpredictable and unique.  Romantic suspense genre at its finest.  I don’t usually read this genre but I have always drawn to Leylar Attar’s beautiful story-telling.  Her writing is quite poetic – reel me in every time!!!
