Rookie Move
Rookie Move by Sarina Bowen

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OMG!!! BIG SQUEEZE!!!! I give a huge 5 STARS for this gorgeous cover alone — HOT . Rookie Move is fantastic guys. They do not call Sarina Bowen the USA Today bestselling author for no reason. She is seriously one of my favorite authors – all her books are an automatic click for me.

Hockey player meets his publicist. Rookie Move is the first standalone in a brand new sexy Hockey series. This book is seriously steamy hot. Leo’s number one goal is to succeed in professional hockey. Leo is a rookie to the first NHL team Brooklyn Bruisers and he was pumped to prove his skills and start a brand new career. So he thought… Unluckily for him, his new coach is none other than the father of Georgia Worthington aka ex-first love. The coach was somewhat of a father figure for Leo back then, but now seems to hold a huge grudge against him. Leo’s chances of getting immediately traded out seem certain. You think that was a big enough challenge to the new team? No so fast … soon Leo comes face to face to said ex-girlfriend turned hot & icy PR executive who broke his heart 6 years ago. Leo has never gotten over Georgia; now that they are forced to work together old feelings emerge and the truth about their fallout finally comes to light. Can Leo and Georgia rekindle their once perfect relationship? Or will there be too many obstacles and roadblocks to overcome?

I really like these two fantastic characters. The chemistry between them is undeniable despite their years apart. You can just feel the attraction, the angst, the sparks reading in between the lines … I have to credit that to the author’s extraordinary writing skills. Leo is a perfect definition of swoony boyfriend – he is hot, talented, sweet, and loyal. He is amazingly patient and kind towards Georgia, and he is not afraid to face her father’s wrath towards him. Georgia is sweet and beautiful. She’s gone through quite an ordeal that destroyed her innocence. Yes, she broke Leo’s heart but you know the saying “when you love someone, you let them go…” She made that difficult decision and really never forgave herself for it. They both deserve a new beginning and a HEA.

Rookie Move is a second chance/sport romance – a sweet, smoking hot & steamy love story with likable characters, low drama, and beautiful writing. Hard Hitter is up next in the series which will feature O’Doul and Ari. I am super excited to read about them next!!! Let’s just say: “This is the start of a very beautiful friendship (aka hockey series ).”

I won this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Thanks to the author and publisher!
