Review: Take Me Back by Meghan March

“Two damaged people.
Countless secrets.
The fight of our lives.
We might be broken, but we’re not done.”

OM freaking G!!!!! AHHHHHHHH! WTF did I just read? – total mind fuck, unexpected rollercoaster. I was up until 2 am finishing the book. COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN.

This review is going be vague because you just have to read it to get the full experience. The blurb basically conveyed this is a second chance romance. Kat and Dane met when they were on vacation. The two hit it off right away and eventually eloped to live happy ever after. But that was not the case – two years later their marriage is on the rocks. Kat has put all her focus on her new business and less on her husband. At their two-year anniversary, Dane organizes a trip back to the tropical paradise of Belize – a last ditch effort, hoping they can rekindle their romance. At the end of the trip Kat will have to make a decision whether she is in or out. What happened in those 10 blissful days in a remote island? You just have to read for yourself

“How can I expect a fresh start when our entire marriage is based on a lie?

All I am going say is: fasten your seat belt because this is going to be one freaking bumpy ride. If you are expecting bliss, sex, romance, laying on the beach sipping margaritas – you got that!!! But you will get a whole lot more than that. One hell of a surprising plot I did not see coming – BRAVO Meghan. I was literally hyperventilating and my heart was in my throat the whole damn time from the suspense. This story is heart-wrenching, beautiful, full of twists and turns, secrets, and deception that will keep you intrigued until the end. The storyline is absolutely fascinating – alternating past and present. This book is flawless and brilliantly written – when you can’t stop reading and feeling like any minutes you are going to fall off the cliff, you know it is a great story. I love both characters – I feel like I can relate to them. Kat is smart, driven, a bit clumsy, and has been through so much pain, but she is resilient. Dane is sexy, protective, and mysterious. He too carries guilt and many secrets. Will they be able to save their marriage once the walls come down and all the dark past comes to light? Kate and Dane’s romance is sweet, sexy, angsty and super intense. Take Me Back is my absolute FAV of Meghan’s books. SHE BRINGS DOWN THE HOUSE WITH THIS ONE.

5 Stars all around plot, characters, writing – everything is just PERFECTION. GAH!!!! MUST READ!!!!

“The battle is not lost until your will is.”
