REVIEW
Cody Garrison, a retired U.S. Marine, doesn’t tell Juliet that he was left permanently disabled during his time in active service, fearing that she wouldn’t agree to race with him if she knew. But once she arrives in Alaska, discovering the truth about Cody’s past will be inevitable. Will the partnership they’ve agreed to, and the off-the-charts chemistry between them, be enough to see them through the rigors of training and secure them the win of their lives?

Oh my geez! What a fantastic love story. I can honestly say that there is not a single book of Katy Regnery that I don’t love. If you are a fan of The Summerhaven Trio, The English Brothers or The Winslow Brothers series this new Odds-Are-Good series is definitely for you.

Cody Garrison is a retired U.S Marine who is a bit broken physically and mentally. He is living a seclude life in Nome Alaska surrounding by his beloved dogs. Cody’s big dream is to enter the Iditarod dog sledding race but first he needs a female partner to race in the Qimmiq mix doubles. Cody placed an ad in the Odds-Are Good paper. Juliet is a fourth-year veterinary student who is working on a project on treatment and care of sled dogs. Juliet’s project and personal life is falling apart at the seam so she thought it would be a good opportunity to get out of town. What better idea than to move far away to Alaska and join Mr. Nome-o for the Qimmiq race. I don’t know about you but I LOVE myself a broken hero! Cody is hot, sweet and caring. It’s melt my heart the way he cares for his animals. Cody doesn’t have the best upbringing but this man loves hard! I adore Juliet – she is independent, sassy, fierce, hard working. I love that Cody and Juliet’s relationship is sweet and honest. There is no mind game. They are always truthful and real with how they feel about each other and that is so refreshing. The chemistry is incredible and the sex scenes doesn’t disappoint. These two are on fire!!! There are also many very emotional parts which took me by surprise so get some tissues ready.
I can’t gush over this book enough – well-developed characters check, picturesque scenery check, beautiful romance check, unique plot check. I am not surprise that I am completely falling in love with this series. A Fairbanks Affair can’t come fast enough … MUST READ!!!
