  HOLY MOLLY! Another winner, winner, chicken dinner for this author! Indigo Ridge is book 1 of the new Edens series and WHOA what a great start!  The title of the book threw me off a little bit but this is a classic small town, enemies-to-lovers, contemporary romance with mystery, suspense and one heck of a twist. Quincy is a small town where everyone knows everyone’s business.  Lots of history, tradition, and the true natives rule.  Winslow scored a job as a police chief but she has a lot to prove.  Winslow is in field of mainly men and she is also young.  Her grandfather is Quincy’s mayor so the gossip is that she did not get the job fair and square.  Winslow has quite a hill to climb to prove that she is capable and deserves to be chief.  First night in town, Winslow met Griffin at a bar and they had one unforgettable night.  No strings attached, what’s the harm right?  Turns out the rugged and gorgeous man is a rancher and one of Quincy’s royalty.  Griffin also thought he was just having a night of fun with another tourist – he did not expect the sexy as sin woman is the town’s newest chief of police.  Winslow and Griffin tried to ignore each other but their plan was halted when a young woman was found dead on Griffin’s property.  They had no choice but face each other as Winslow investigates what happened to the young woman.  Everyone in town claimed it was suicide but Winslow’s gut is saying otherwise.  Winslow is definitely not scoring any points when she started digging into the past and stirring up a few cold cases. I have to say I admire Winslow’s character.  She is beautiful, smart, feisty and a strong woman.  It was nice to watch her grow and win over the hearts of people in this small town.  Griffin is gorgeous, hard-working, strong, super protective, and a family guy.  I love that he is caring and protective of Winslow as his girlfriend and at the same time respecting and allowing her to do her job.  Love the chemistry between these two, slow-burning and off the chart sexy.  What starts out as a little fling turns into such a heartwarming beautiful romance.  I adore this book – unique plot, charming characters.  Pretty swoony and romantic but with all the mystery and suspense captivated me until the end.  This one is a page turner – I cannot wait for the rest of the Eden boys 🙂
